Happy New Year!
The New Year is already two days old but the good news is that there are still 363 days to go. I hope that the first two days of your new year were spectacular and that the remainder of 2015 will be just as awesome.
If you are on my Facebook page, you would have seen this New Year’s Greetings from us. If you missed it, check it out below.
The first two days of my New Year have been pretty good. On New Year’s night, Nash and I played miniature golf. It was just the two of us playing at that time and we had so much fun! I will be writing about that experience for a magazine. By the way if you missed my last feature in Design Anguilla, you can read about it here. I went paddle boarding. Try it. You’ll like it.
Today January 2, I was out and about doing various things. Three activities stand out in my mind which I want to share.
Firstly, my Friday morning walk on Crocus Hill with my friends. We started at 6 am today and it was still dark. The lights from the boats and yachts on the water were beautiful.
After walking up and down the hill six times and stretching, we stayed and chatted for over an hour. It was nice as we were all on vacation so we did not have to rush to prepare for our various jobs. These moments, when we are just in the moment and when our thoughts are not on things which need to get done are so important and oh so healthy. I left feeling rejuvenated after relaxing, reflecting and sharing with friends.
Secondly, later in the afternoon I was driving through Island Harbour. I was feeling tired. I really just wanted to get to my location but an inner voice told me to stop, get out of the car, and take a walk and stretch. I listened. It was a great piece of advice. I felt much more energetic after taking in the view, relaxing and stretching. It was just five minutes but taking time once again to just be in the moment was so helpful to my mind, body and spirit.
My final moment was spending time with an aunt and uncle in law who I always have good intentions of visiting but seldom do. It was great to sit back, kick back and chat and watch episodes of Property Brothers in the moment with them.
When I got home tonight, my hubby had a milk shake from Fruity Web waiting for me. Yummy! I just thought that I would throw that in.
I shared these moments because on Monday most of us will go back to our ‘busy’ day to day lives and we will take less time to be in the moment. Whether it is spending time with friends (moment 1) or yourself (moment 2) or with family (moment 3), take time to enjoy the moments in the moment in 2015.
Thanks for continuing to support My Anguilla Experience and we look forward to bringing you many more blogs, videos and much more in 2015. We love sharing our moments with you.
Sunset Homes has released their 2015 magazine so be sure to check it out online and in print! You may also enjoy this feature on owners Janine and Ian ‘Sugar George’ Edwards.
