Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (ACOCI) annual Starry Night Dinner, Dance and Auction was held on Saturday June 20th, 2015 at Italia Restaurant at Cuisinart Resort and Spa. The proceeds from this black tie event are in support of the ACOCI Scholarship for an Associate Degree in business or hospitality at the Anguilla Community College (ACC). ACOCI also hosts an annual golf tournament at Cuisinart Golf Resort and Spa in support of the same scholarship. The annual scholarship is open to young persons who are under the age of 25, have performed well academically and have demonstrated financial need.
Nash and I attended the event. When we arrived Jaine Rogers was entertaining the guests with her melodic voice. Jaine also performs annually at the Tourism Gala. Be sure to pick up her CD while in Anguilla as a souvenir.
There were many beautiful, well dressed persons at the event all willing to support a worthy cause. It was great to share in good conversation and laughter during the evening. Dinner was a four course meal prepared by the staff at Cuisinart Resort and Spa. The door prizes for the event were fantastic. Unfortunately Nash and I did not win. We did however win our bid at the silent auction. The silent auction is a big fundraising component of the evening. We look forward to using our prize and sharing our experiences with you.
Enjoy more pictures in the slide show below from this event and be sure to schedule Starry Night Dinner, Dance and Auction into your plans for next year. Do support ACOCI as they raise money for scholarships for youth at the Anguilla Community College!
