Beach time!
Hi everyone
I know it has been a while since I posted. A lot has been happening and there are so many blog posts I want to write and share but first let’s talk about the beach!
To get back into the swing of things I wanted to share some of my favorite photos from the beach this weekend. I went into the sea on Saturday and Sunday. This probably has not happened since I was a child.
Rendezvous Bay Beach
We headed to Rendezvous Bay on Saturday afternoon to try out a new water activity for a feature I am writing for Design Anguilla. The water was amazing. Sherise stopped by for a few minutes and ended up coming into the water and spending the entire afternoon with Nash and me even though she did not plan to. We even got to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Shoal Bay Beach
On Sunday morning, we took Xavi to the beach as he was not with us the day before. We headed to Shoal Bay because it is close to home. The beach as always looked spectacular. Photos do not do it justice. The waves were higher and the water temperature was colder on the eastern side of the island. Xavi normally loves the seawater but he was not amused today.
Both days were pretty much picture perfect as you can tell from the photos. I feel blessed to call this beautiful island home. I don’t go the beach as often as I should or could but when I do go we always have a great time. Many of my favorite memories and photos are at the beach. I am a true Caribbean girl.
I went back to Shoal Bay on Monday morning for an early morning walk and talk with a good friend. It is amazing to experience and enjoy how different the sea and the surrounding environment looks at 6am, 11am, 3pm and 6pm.
When was the last time you were at the beach? Where did you go? If you were in Anguilla right now, what would be your first stop?
